Mid Ulster Mayhem – Stereo War Favourites, Hostage Party & Pixel vs Nanobots

After an Eighteen month hiatus, unpredictable Mid Ulster five piece, Stereo War Favourites have dusted down their instruments and recommenced creative duties with their ever yielding writing dynamic. Having made a startling impact on the local circuit in 2010, developing a reputation for blistering live sets and a wall of sound, (aptly described by John Lawson as a frantic mix of La Faro and Bloc Party), they went on to release the single Comet.Sever.Curio which received rave reviews, and moved Rory McConnell to declare it an ‘Absolutely amazing’ and ‘huge’ single worthy of Zane Lowe and Daniel P Carter’s attention. The song also went on to fetch an award from U.S radio Station Soylent Radio after being voted song of the week for an unprecedented five consecutive weeks. That was to prove the last meaningful act before a decision to fulfil study, work and family commitments coaxed the band into hibernation. However, as 2011 drew to a close, plans to reaquaint themselves with the various dynamisms of Northern Irish music were acted on, and 2012 begins with the group eager to re-establish themselves as they embark on another exciting, aural rampage of sorts.
Stereo War Favourites return to the stage as they host fellow Mid Ulster Collectives, Hostage Party and Pixel vs Nanobot for a feral evening of carnage and dance in the foothills of the Sperrins!
